natural forces within us are the healers of disease

A friend shared this and I love it! Again, the power of our thoughts - this validates the yogic philosophy of ahimsa - non harming in thought, word and deed (including to ourselves through self talk) - it also validates the concept that we create our world - and if we are made up of mostly water, it makes sense that we need energised, pure water. I like the way it is so easy to energise our own water.

Healing Qualities of Water and

Useful Applications

by Laura Silva Quesada

Water has always been believed to have healing

qualities, and is the essential component of all life.

It comprises 70% of the Earth's surface, and 75% of

the human body. .

Water has electromagnetic and chemical qualities,

which make it able to break down substances into

their constituent parts, and to absorb energy

vibrations. It acts like a magnetic recording tape.

Like a tape, information can be impressed by

outside elements.

Research by Dr. Masaru Emoto done on crystals of

various types of frozen water seems to show that

besides environmental factors, thought; prayer,

sound and words impress an effect on water.

Dr. Emoto used a device called a Magnetic

Resonance Analyzer (MRA) and found that all

substances have their own unique magnetic

resonance field and must be understood functionally

at the atomic or even sub-atomic level in order to

achieve the complete cure of all diseases. Water

being the essential component to all life became one

focus of attention. Using the MRA he was able to

measure objects of interest in micro levels smaller

than molecules and believes he has discovered why

diseases occur.

According to Dr. Emoto, the specific vibrating wave

generated by the electrons orbiting the nucleus of an

atom, and believed to be the source of energy

behind the creation of

all things emits a magnetic

resonance. The magnetic resonance is influenced

both positively and negatively by our thoughts.

Negative thoughts influence microelements and

microorganisms in our body, including those in

water; in such a way that illness results. His belief is

that water is alive and has memory. Other research

even suggests that the information recorded in water

can be transferred to other water molecules. Dr.

Emoto suggests that the most effective cure for

disease is an awareness that we are living in

cooperation with microorganisms at each moment

of our lives and that they respond to thought.

It may then be concluded that positive thoughts

raise our own electro magnetic resonance, which

results in a higher quality of health. This resonance

is expressed in our human energy field, and seems

to be the best source for recording information onto

water since the human energy field is influenced by

our consciousness. The human energy field both

permeates the entire body and radiates outwards

inches, even feet beyond the body’s surface, and can

be easily projected through the hands. This human

energy field has been validated in scientific

laboratories as light emissions using photometers

and color filters.

The vibrations are believed to come from the atomic

and subatomic molecular activity of the human

cells: quantum physics has described that all matter,

which occupies space, contains potential atomic

energy that is released in small quantities as

electrons spin off. This explains why all matter has

an energy field.

Animate or living matter emits an energy field with

a higher frequency and with more active pattern

changes than those found in inanimate matter. The

human energy field is believed to have the highest

vibration of all living matter. In addition, the human

body is able to be both transmitters and receivers of

this energy field.

With your Mind, desire and imagery, you can

enhance your energy field and project or transfer it

for a specific purpose such as in the case of the

laying on of hands, and energizing water. In

addition, you can also impress your energy field

with specific information that can then be

transferred and used for a specific outcome.

2 The Silva Method

You imagining energy flowing outward from one

hand to the other transfers the human energy field.

Most people who practice the transference of energy

(Whether right handed or left handed.) seem to

experience the energy flowing from the right hand

to the left. Most imagine the energy as having a

golden or bluish-white color. In addition during the

transference of energy, the Mind needs to picture

the outcome it desires to achieve, such as that of

health.

A good place to begin transferring your energy field

is with something as simple as energizing water.

Energized water can be used for maintaining health

and/or assisting the healing process, and because

our bodies consist of mostly water, what could be a

better place to start. As stated, water is a sort of

liquid tape recorder and can be impressed with

information with your Mind.

You can test the effects of energized water by

comparing the growth rate of seeds that have soaked

overnight in energized water to that of seeds that

have soaked overnight in regular water. To do this

experiment, separate the seeds into two batches,

enter a meditative state, and begin to energize the

water. While energizing the water, imagine on your

Mental Movie Screen how you are going to use the

water. For example, imagine that you are going to

place the seeds inside the energized water so that

they can soak overnight. You will then imagine that

the following morning you put the seeds inside a

sealed plastic bag and you that you place the bag of

seeds in a well-lit location. You then imagine that

the seeds begin to sprout and leaves begin to grow

very soon after that. For the other batch of seeds,

simple get regular water, let them soak in the same

manner, put them in a sealed plastic bag, and place

them in a similar location. In the days that follow,

you will notice that once the seeds begin to sprout,

the energized seeds will grow, and produce more

leaves faster than the seeds that were not in

energized water.

Energizing water is easy and effective. Even

children can energize water. Simply get a small

container, preferably made of glass, and fill it with

water. A drinking glass will do just fine. Place the

glass on a table; sit comfortably in front of the glass,

place your hands on either side of the glass and

enter a meditative state. Your hands do not need to

touch the glass, but they do need to be very close to

it. If your hands are touching the glass, make sure

they do not touch each other (Fingertips included)

so that the energy can flow from one hand to the

other and through the water instead of flowing from

hand to hand. While energizing the water, imagine

on your Mental Movie Screen exactly how you are

going to apply the water, and then finish your

programming by imagining the outcome you desire

to achieve. Energize the water for approximately

five minutes.

After energizing the water, come out of your

meditative state and apply the water as imagined or

programmed.

Water can be programmed to be used in many ways

and must be used as programmed. For example:

*For general health problems, the water is

programmed to be ingested by you or a loved one.

As the water is ingested, mentally say "With each

sip of water, I send the pattern of perfection to every

cell of my body."

With this program, you would imagine the water

going into the body and influencing every other cell

in the body until health is achieved.

*For specific health problems, imagine the

energized water being ingested, going straight to the

area of concern and healing the problem (Causing

the specific organ to regain health or the specific

health problem to be corrected).

*For skin problems, rashes, and open cuts, program

the water to be applied on the skin directly. Use

distilled water for this application. For eyes, use an

eyedropper. For nose, use a nose spray.

Natural forces within us

are the healers of disease.

The Silva Method 3

*You can energize water for your pets and plants as

well.

Drink energized water, and get healthy! Once you

learn to energize water; it’s just as easy to energize

your food as well. To your health - Cheers!

books,

a retreat in Cambodia?

I am looking into organising an annual retreat in Cambodia. A friend has just moved to Phnom Penh and her sister has just visited. We spent a Sunday looking at photos and talking about her lovely holiday and life in Phnom Penh. It captured my heart and looks such a wonderful place to have a cultural experience and enjoy a holiday with like minded people.

At this stage it is investigations, googling etc and to do it properly I will offer the holiday in 2014, which isn't that far off. This year will be looking for the best options. Next year I will visit and follow my itinerary to look for improvements and loopholes and then offer it for 2014. It will also give people time to think about it, decide if they would like to go and save. Of course I will be keeping it as cost effective as possible to make it affordable, but at the same time, a beautiful experience.

I am thinking of daily sessions of Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, visiting a bhuddist monestery, an orphanage to do some karma yoga, attend a Cambodian cooking school, enjoy spa treatments and having some spare time to explore. The holiday would mean you have everything organised and paid for - airfares, meals, accomodation, entry fees / outings and massages. All you do is enjoy.

If you like the idea, please comment on this blog and I will keep you informed as I go on this exciting idea.

website well worth looking at for info on reflexology

www.reflexology.org.nz is a great website.

Go to the FAQ if you would like to know anything about reflexology. The website is informative and easy to navigate.
Just a reminder, when you have a therapeutic reflexology session, it is a good idea to ask about qualifications and if they are a member of NZ Reflexology the reflexologist would have passed a minimum standard to be accepted.
If you are after a foot massage and don't suffer health problems or aren't pregnant, it is not important - just enjoy the pampering.

Oil pulling

I have been oil pulling for a while now and recommend it. I also recommend buying a copper tongue scraper to get rid of ama (undigested food that turns toxic when reabsorbed back into body - this looks like a white mucous covering the tongue first thing in the morning). These are bought from ayurvedic practitioners. In NZ Ayurveda Planet sells them online and so does Gerald Lopez. Toothbrushes are not as effective.

Back to oil pulling...

My friend has a plaque problem and used to go to hygenist every 3 months. After oil pulling, the hygenist said, 'I don't know what you have been doing, but you don't need to come back so often now - you don't have plaque.'
She had been oil pulling and said that was the only different thing that she had introduced.

The Single Most Effective Ayurvedic Practice for Your Mouth

Do you ever wish you could brighten those pearly whites without chemicals?

Almost everyone I know who cares about their body is eager to find ways to get positive results without sacrificing the integrity of their own well-being and the well-being of our lovely planet.

That means those bleach trays and teeth whitening products on the market don't exactly qualify. They have you ingesting boatloads of toxins like coal tars, fluorides, aspartame, aluminum and benzene.

So, if having a healthy mouth and brighter, whiter teeth is a priority for you, but ingesting carcinogens are not, you're going to love oil pulling.

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic ritual where you swish oil (like coconut oil, sesame oil or sunflower oil) around in your mouth for about 20 minutes and then spit it out.

Dr. Bruce Fife, whose written an entire book on oil pulling, says the oil acts like a cleanser.

"When you put it in your mouth and work it around your teeth and gums it “pulls” out bacteria and other debris. As simple as it is, oil pulling has a very powerful detoxifying effect. Our mouths are the home to billions of bacteria, viruses, fungi and other parasites and their toxins. Candida and Streptococcus are common residents in our mouths. It is these types of germs and their toxic waste products that cause gum disease and tooth decay and contribute to many other health problems including arthritis and heart disease. Our immune system is constantly fighting these troublemakers. If our immune system becomes overloaded or burdened by excessive stress, poor diet, environmental toxins and such, these organisms can spread throughout the body causing secondary infections and chronic inflammation, leading to any number of health problems.”

Although there's no scientific evidence to support these claims, there are 3,000 years worth of personal testimonials from people India and a growing number of testimonials from people in the U.S.

I was personally inspired to start doing it about a year ago to help repair some of the damage I had done to my mouth and teeth from a decade of having an eating disorder. The most noticeable effects for me have been whiter teeth, healthier gums and more clear skin. It's been a great addition to my morning routine!

When done daily this practice is incredibly effective for:
  • Brightening & whitening teeth
  • Healthier gums
  • Removal of mucus
  • Boosting the immune system
  • Preventing bad breath
  • Increasing energy
  • Having a clearer mind
  • Decreasing headaches
  • Clearing the sinuses
  • Alleviating allergies
  • Better sleep
  • More clearer skin
  • Regulating menstrual cycles
  • Decreasing inflammation
  • Improving the lymphatic system
  • Improving PMS symptoms
How to oil pull:
  • Drink 1 cup of water on an empty stomach.
  • Melt 1-3 tsp. of organic, cold-pressed vegetable oil (I like coconut oil the best) in your mouth or over very low heat in a double boiler.
  • Swish through your mouth for 20 minutes while you’re busy doing something else. The first few times my gag reflexes reared themselves and it was a little difficult keeping the oil in my mouth, but I persisted and by the third day it was fine. If you have this problem too, I recommend sticking with it.
  • Spit into trash, compost or outside in the grass (just not in the sink - we don’t want to clog the pipes).
  • Swish water through your mouth to rinse.
Take Action Now:
  • Get yourself some oil and try oil pulling tomorrow morning (I do it while I'm walking my dog).
  • Leave a comment below with any thoughts, tips or ideas on the topic.
  • Let your friends and family in on the oil pulling secret by sharing this post!

Food Combinations made easy

I thought this article made food combinations easy to understand. And I like the way she has recipes using good food combinations.

7 Food Combinations That WON'T Wreak Havoc on Your Health

If you've ever felt bloated, burpy, gassy, fatigue or even heartburn after a meal, chances are you're guilty of bad food combining.

With a few simple tweaks to your diet, proper food pairing can have you experiencing more energy, better skin, better sleep and natural weight loss within a couple of days. And, believe it or not, you don't have to be a vegan, vegetarian or raw foodie to do get results.

The gist of food combining is that different types of foods digest at different rates. When you eat several foods that digest at different rates your digestion gets out of whack and things begin to rot and ferment in your body. This "sludge" turns into stored toxins. And, when your body can't digest food properly it misses out on being able to absorb the nutrients in food leaving you with low energy, breakouts and poor sleep. It's an all around bad deal.

All food combining guidelines take into account the speed at which food digests. Fruit digests the quickest, then greens, then non-starchy vegetables, then starches and then, digesting the slowest, is protein. Eating foods in the correct order (according their transit times) ensures a traffic jam-free (and toxin-free) digestive tract.

When you get the combining right, your body gets to use the nutrients in the food. This leaves you with more energy, which inevitably equals more beauty.

Here are the food combining basics:
  • Starches Veggies = OK
  • Proteins Veggies = OK
  • Proteins Starches = No No
  • Plant Proteins Plant Proteins = OK
  • Animal Proteins Animal Proteins = No No
  • Starches Starches = OK
  • Fats Proteins = No No (or pair moderately)
  • Fats Carbohydrates = OK
  • Fats Starches = OK
  • Fruits are best eaten on an empty stomach
  • Fruit Raw greens = OK (except melons)
All of these guidelines can seem overwhelming at first, but it's really quite simple to find meals that work. As a compliment to the lovely Nadya Andreeva's post, '10 Common Food Combinations that Wreck Havoc on Your Health', here are 7 Food Combinations That Won't Wreak Havoc on Your Health:

1. Avocado sushi rolls - Avocado is a fat and rice is a starch.

2. Baked chicken with broccoli - Eat the broccoli first because it's a non-starchy vegetable, which digests quicker than chicken, which is a protein.

3. Pasta Primavera - Pasta is a starch and the rest of the ingredients are veggies.

4. Salad with guacamole and corn chips - Eat the salad and guacamole first because they're veggies, then the corn chips, which are a starch.

5. Green salad and grilled fish - Eat the salad first, which is a plant veggie, and then fish second, which is an animal protein.

6. Apple, followed by scrambled eggs twenty minutes later - The fruit goes first because it digests the quickest, protein comes second because it digests the slowest.

7. Steak with lightly sautéed spinach - Eat the spinach first because it's a veggie, then the steak, which is an animal protein.

I invite you to try a couple of these meals this week OR switch up the order in which you're eating your current meals. Remember, fruits go first, followed by greens, non-starchy vegetables, starches and protein.

Please leave a comment below. What has been your experience with food combining? Does it make a difference?
